Conference Flyer New D.C. Area Chapter Forming Speaking of starting a new chapter, thereThere is interest in forming a new chapter in the Washington D.C. area. A meeting has been set for Thursday, April 3rd at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Falls Church, Virginia. Beth Neu, Member Liaison of NCLA, will be in the area that week visiting family. She plans to attend the meeting to share resources from the NCLA and support the developing chapter. If you are interested in helping to support a new or developing chapter or for more information about the new D.C. area chapter, please contact the NCLA office by email or at 651-430-0770.

Correspondence -Eda Jane Spivey Next Meeting / Event The Spring Buckeye Chapter meeting of the National Church Library Association meeting to be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown on Saturday, April 12, 2008, registration starts at 9:30 a.m. The cost of $13, includes dues for the association as well as the cost of your lunch. The ladies of the church will be serving lunch. There will be a business meeting, tour of library and book exchange and round table groups discussing: Buying New Materials, Promoting Your Library, and Finding & Keeping Volunteers. Treasurer - Carol Peterson Next Meeting / Event Our Spring meeting will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 501 E. Fillmore Ave in Eau Claire. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. with coffee available and a lung at noon for a cost of $5.00. Our program will be about “Recording Your Life Story” By Diana Oleskow Lubich. Please complete the registration form if you plan to attend. Registration for Spring Meeting Past Events Our Fall meeting was held October 20th at the St. James Trinity Lutheran Church in Fall Creek, WI. We celebrated 40 years as a chapter of NCLA by providing a gift to each of our member libraries and collecting photos of each church library for our Chapter Book.Our theme was "Joy of Music" CD's in the Church Library and Liz Snyder gave a presentation about sharing sheet music between churches. Books and CD's were also available for purchase from the Family Christian Stores.

Historian - Janet Gray Next Meeting / Event The annual Spring meeting of the Central Iowa Chapter of the National Church Library Association (formerly known as the Iowa Hawkeye Chapter) will be at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 1517 Northwestern Avenue in Ames , Iowa from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 19. "Traveling Down Memory Lane as a Chapter, Part I" will be the program by historian, Janet Gray . Everyone is asked to bring their most popular book title from their church library to share during roll call. We will plan for our 30 year anniversary meeting, part2,in October and have election of officers, also. Each of us is asked to bring a guest from another church. One lucky person will get scholarship help to attend the National Convention so everyone come! Let's brainstorm how we can fundraise so more can go! Past Events Our fall meeting was held September 29th, at Bethany Lutheran in Iowa Falls.
